What is Truth Watch about?
Truth Watch is a group of Evangelical believers who are dedicated to the need for a new reformation. The only hope for genuine revival lies in recapturing the central priority of the Gospel.
Truth Watch believes that the only alternative is churches where Jesus Christ is truly honoured and the Bible faithfully expounded and believed.
Truth Watch Members
The members of Truth Watch have come together from many different theological and church backgrounds, with a love for the truth as the common thread. Truth Watch members are all Bible-believing Christians, who are committed to God and His purposes for New Zealand and the World. Truth Watch believes true unity is only found through obedience to God and His Word.
Chris Magill
Qualifications : BInfoTech; DipAppMins(Theology); DipBComputing; Post Graduate Diploma of Secondary Teaching.
Personal Information : Chris currently lives on the Kapiti Coast where he works as a Secondary School Teacher. Chris and family have fellowshipped at various Pentecostal and Evangelical churches around the Wellington Region. Chris has completed a two year Diploma of Applied Ministry Studies, with the Apostolic Church Movement (New Zealand).
Reason for joining Truth Watch : Chris sensed the need to get involved in a Bible-based group where God and His Word are the only authority for all truth, doctrine and practice. Chris believes there has been a steady decline into a man-centred gospel, where believers are expected to submit to the authority of the 'pastor'. Chris desires to see a body of believers reflecting and living according to New Testament practices and leadership models. Chris is involved with Truth Watch, because of his love for God and His Word, and a desire to see the truth uplifted, proclaimed and demonstrated in New Zealand.
Theology : Conservative Pentecostal.

Chris
Qualifications : Master of Public Management(Distinction); BA(Human Geography); Certificate in Adult Learning.
Personal Information : Lives and works in Wellington with his wife Liz and fellowships at an independent Christian church.
Reason for joining Truth Watch : Concerned that the evangelical churches are failing to defend the faith or honour those who question church leaders. I wish to work with like minded Christians to encourage churches to return to correct doctrine and effective evangelism. I also hope to be part of a new movement to draw disenchanted Christians back into meaningful fellowship.

Liz
Qualifications : BSc(Hons) Science; Diploma of Teaching
Interests : Science; gardening, tramping, kayaking, coffee with friends
Personal Information : Live in Johnsonville, Wellington with husband Chris, Jack the cat and twelve goldfish. Teaches at a local intermediate School.
Reason for joining Truth Watch : Initially dragged in by husband, but am recognising more and more how important it is that we encourage our pastors and elders to be good and wise shepherds of their flocks. Also, many fellow Christians have lost - or never grasped - the power and truth of all of God's word. This concerns me.

Peter Warnes
Qualifications : CEng. MIMechE: Chartered Engineer; Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. Retired production engineering consultant with nation-wide experience in the UK and NZ: Management in mechanical design and development engineering.
Interests : Tramping, cabinet making, building, gardening, reading and Bible study.
Personal Information : Lives with his wife at Korokoro, Lower Hutt; has three children and five grandchildren. Fellowships at an independant Church.
Reason for joining Truth Watch : Based on an experience in an evangelical church where doctrinal errors and unbiblical practices were introduced and where leadership refused to change their stance in spite of receiving clear biblical statements relating to the errors. Fellowship was sought with like-minded Christians who were zealous for truth. It had been startling to find that so many Christians were either unwilling or unable to test what their leaders were teaching. There appears to be an urgent need to "contend earnestly for the faith" and to remind brothers and sisters in Christ of Christ's command in John 7 "to make righteous judgements" and of Paul's commendation of the Berean's in Acts 17 in testing everything he said against the Word of God.
